Spain’s National Commission of Markets and Competition (CNMC) has agreed to launch five disciplinary proceedings against Telefónica, Vodafone, Vodafone Ono, Orange and Xfera, over a possible breach of their obligations to provide data on their subscribers through the SGDA system.
All operators that use numbering contained in the National Numbering Plan are obliged to provide updated data on their customers by uploading to the system operated by the CNMC.
The system consists of an online platform used by emergency services and telephone consultation services to provide up-to-date information on the clients that each operator has.
