Spain’s Society of Bank, Savings and Insurance Users (ADICAE) has requested the European Union to investigate what they consider to be worrying levels of market concentration in key sectors, such as telecommunications, financial services and energy.

ADICAE considers the situation to be detrimental to free competition in areas that are “determinant to citizens’ quality of life”, prompting their decision to present their claim before the EU’s competition regulators, who will analyse the situation and consider appropriate measures.
