U.S.: Judge awards plaintiffs in egg price-fixing case

A Pennsylvania district judge has awarded more than $7.5 million in lawyers’ fees to plaintiffs who accused egg producers of supply and price manipulation. The multi-district, class action suit was filed by grocery stores, restaurants and other providers of food services against Moark, LLC, Norco Ranch Inc. and Land O’Lakes, Inc. The defendants had previously settled for more than $25 million.
