Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer announced that John Schmidt has joined the firm’s Competition/Antitrust practice as a partner, resident in its London office. Mr. Schmidt’s practice will focus on matters before competition authorities at both a national and European Union level, advising on major competition advisory issues, merger control, investigations, and litigation. He has particular industry involvement in the life sciences, consumer goods, finance, and infrastructure sectors.
With 20 years’ experience, Mr. Schmidt is dual qualified in the UK and Germany and regularly advises on major UK and EU competition investigations and antitrust litigation. He has consistently been ranked as a leading competition lawyer in the London market by Chambers UK, Chambers Europe, Chambers Global, and The Legal 500 over the past 10 years.
Debbie Feinstein, head of the firm’s Global Antitrust group said, “We are delighted that John is joining our firm.
