Baker Botts announced on June 25 that Mark Botti and Anthony Swisher have joined the firm’s Antitrust and Competition Practice as partners in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office.
“We are delighted Mark and Anthony are joining our Antitrust team. Their collective experience at the Department of Justice and in representing clients before the DOJ and the Federal Trade Commission, in areas such as healthcare and government investigations, builds upon the world class capabilities of our Antitrust group,” said Andrew M. Baker, Managing Partner of Baker Botts.
“With clients looking to manage complex antitrust matters within the current administration’s policies and priorities, Mark and Anthony bring incredible experience, not only in healthcare antitrust, but in all facets of competition law that will add significant value for our clients,” said John Taladay, Co-Chair of the firm’s Antitrust Practice.
“This is a strategic play for our group. Mark and Anthony are outstanding lawyers and well known to both our group and the antitrust bar generally. Their individual and combined expertise will further bolster our capabilities for the benefit of our clients,” said Steve Weissman, Co-Chair of the firm’s Antitrust Practice and former Deputy Director of the US Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition.
