California-based boutique antitrust law firm Bona Law PC opened a New York office and picked up a DLA Piper antitrust lawyer, bolstering its merger and international antitrust practice and expanding on the services it provides clients.
Bona Law announced on October 12 that Steven Levitsky agreed to leave DLA Piper to open and lead Bona Law’s New York office. He brings over three decades of experience as an antitrust and compliance lawyer at major international law firms, including Shea & Gould, LeBoeuf Lamb, and Dewey & LeBoeuf. Levitsky was in charge of the antitrust M&A groups at Shea & Gould and LeBoeuf Lamb.
Levitsky commented on the dramatic change going on in the legal market, “Companies always want top quality legal work. But what’s changing is that, today, savvy GCs know they can get it from smaller specialized boutique firms that have great people and great service, but none of the massive overhead that large firms carry and must charge for. Boutiques deliver top quality, personalized service, and greater value.”
