Latham & Watkins LLP announced that Peter Todaro has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as counsel in the Antitrust & Competition Practice Group in the firm’s Litigation & Trial Department. His practice focuses on antitrust counseling, mergers & acquisitions and litigation in trial and appellate courts. Todaro has obtained clearance of mergers & acquisitions from the US Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission for clients from a range of industries including energy, financial services, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and telecommunications. At Latham, Todaro will continue to advise clients on strategic merger clearance strategy and coordinating US and international merger control filings and clearance efforts.
Todaro joins a group that is comprised of 140 lawyers globally who have advised clients on all aspects of antitrust practice – merger clearance, business conduct investigations and private and public antitrust litigation. The team brings together lawyers with market-leading local expertise and broad experience to provide seamless, integrated service and counsel across borders in the world’s major antitrust jurisdictions. Todaro’s arrival follows the addition of leading trial lawyer Michael Lacovara to the firm in June 2016.
