United Natural Foods announced late last week that it plans to acquire Tony’s Fine Foods, according to a press release.
The acquisition of the perishable deli products operations is reportedly expected to value about $195 million in cash and stock. United Natural says it plans to run Tony’s as a subsidiary.
The deal is set for completion in FY15, though remains subject to regulatory approval.
