Veidekke and NCC excluded from competing for asphalt contracts

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration has notified NCC and Veidekke that it plans to exclude them from competing for asphalt contracts in North and South Trøndelag this year. NCC and Veidekke are Norway’s largest asphalt contractors. The agency’s decision stems from the Norwegian Competition Authority’s cartel and price-fixing probe, of which a decision is still pending.

    In response, Veidekke pledges to contest the decision because it had cooperated with the competition authority and was granted full immunity for its role in the investigation.
