The article analyzes institutional and procedural aspects of the cooperation between federal and state antitrust enforcement in a comparative perspective. There are two goals: to offer a global overview of the topic in order to better navigate multi-jurisdictional antitrust investigations, and to propose improvements in the U.S. system by looking at ways in which other federal systems have dealt with the coordination of federal and state enforcement.
